Dear FOI Officers,

I am writing to formally report a concerning incident involving multiple cell numbers that have been impersonating representatives from PLDT claiming they are from Sy and Jae Corporation. These individuals are attempting to extort money from me on a no longer used PLDT account.

I appreciate your prompt attention to this issue.

Navaja 04:23 PM, Dec 20, 2023

Despite multiple attempts to contact these numbers, there has been no response. Furthermore, the demands for payment are associated with a non-existent account, and upon verification with PLDT, it has been confirmed that there is no record of such an account in their system.

In an effort to ensure the appropriate authorities are aware of this situation, I sought information on Sy and Jae Corporation. However, I am uncertain if this is the same corporation mentioned in an ABS-CBN article from October 9, 2014, which reported on BIR suing several businesses over tax violations. The article can be found at the following link: https://news.abs-cbn.com/business/10/09/14/bir-sues-7-businesses-over-tax-violations

In the interest of justice and to prevent further victimization of individuals in the future, I kindly request your prompt attention to this matter. Your efforts in resolving this issue are highly appreciated. Please keep me informed of any developments in the investigation.

Thank you for your assistance in addressing this serious concern.
