Hi, I recently became a victim of the scam. It was posted on Facebook about freelancing jobs online. We communicate thru telegram.The 'work' was to retype 75 pages pdf file to a word document and convert it to pdf. The pay was $1200 which should probably have been a red flag for me but I suppose I was too eager to make money since I just started applying for remote jobs. The work was to be submitted in 3 days which I somehow managed to do. Upon submission I was to wait for approval of the job done then we move to payment. Upon withdrawal of salary I paid 1200 pesos but still can't withdraw it.

Response to Request

Please be informed that the office that caters your request is the  PNP Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 10 located inside Camp Vicente G Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City. You may proceed directly to the said office for proper assistance and further investigation.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to FOI Receiving Officer 10 at rpcrd10@gmail.com. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
