Good day! I am Armando B. Flores Jr. I am an applicant of the job vacancy for Architect III  but I know they going to marked disqualified due to over age and no NAPOLCOM age waiver. I really wanted to serve as an Architect for PNP. I graduated in college last 2010 ate age of 23 and passed the Licensure Exam in 2012. Hoping and praying that you could be able to help me on how to get an age WAIVER. Thank you and God bless.

Dear Armando Flores,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Sep 13, 2022 10:52:40 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You're requesting for age waiver to join the PNP being a licensed Architect.

As a backgrounder, please be informed that under Sections 30-32 of Republic Act No. 6975 as amended by Section 14 of Republic Act No. 8551 “No person shall be appointed as officer or member of the PNP unless he possesses the following minimum qualifications.” 

xxx Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age.xxx

Further, pursuant to NAPOLCOM Memorandum Circular No. 2013-004 dated May 21, 2013, “The age requirement for initial appointment to the PNP may be waived only when the number of qualified applicants falls below the approved national/regional quota. Waiver of the age requirement may be granted provided that the applicant shall not be less than twenty (20) or not more than thirty-five (35) years of age.”

Based on your mentioned credentials, it appears that you are already 35 years of age. Since, the recruitment processing for CY 2022 Patrolman/Patrolwoman Recruitment has been almost done, and you will not be qualified for the next recruitment processing for 2023, we recommend that you may apply as Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP) of the PNP.
