Thank you for your request dated Apr 24, 2022 11:41:25 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
This pertains to your request for age waiver relative to your application to the PNP.
Please be informed that under Sections 30-32 of Republic Act No. 6975 as amended by Section 14 of Republic Act No. 8551 “No person shall be appointed as officer or member of the PNP unless he possesses the following minimum qualifications.”
xxx Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age.xxx
Pursuant to NAPOLCOM Memorandum Circular No. 2021-001, entitled: “Prescribing the Guidelines and Procedures for the Recruitment, Selection and Appointment of Patrolman/Patrolwoman”, an applicant shall be considered to be 21 years of age on his/her 21st birth date and shall be considered more than thirty (30) years of age on his/her 31st birth date. With that, you are still qualified for the age requirement.
Further, be informed that the CY 2022 Patrolman/Patrolman Recruitment Processing/Program has been started since April 4, 2022 and it was a continuous recruitment program until the allotted quota has been filled-up. Good day Sir/Mam! Thank you for your response. I am glad that my age is still qualified. I still have 11 months, but if I did not take Oath before my birthdate, means I have to get an age waiver. Is it possible to get one before I turned 31 so I will be prepared? If possible, may I know what are the requirements to pass or qualifications so that I can have time to prepare it ahead of time. Thank you very much for your early reply. I appreciate it so much.
