Number of police stations in the country as of 2020

Requested from PNP by J. Sagcal at 05:48 PM on Jan 25, 2021.
Purpose: Fact-checking purposes
Date of Coverage: 01/01/2020 - 12/31/2020
Tracking no: #PNP-175484019573

Sagcal 05:48 PM, Jan 25, 2021

Greetings! I am writing a fact-check story and would need information about the following data:

1. latest overall number of police stations in the country

2. latest number of municipal police stations in the country

3. latest number of city police stations in the country

4. latest number of component city police stations in the country

I've seen data about this in the Official Gazette, but I'm concerned that it may outdated. It said that there are 1,766 police stations. However, I've seen this number being used in articles as early as 2015.

Thank you!
