Greetings!

This pertains to your request for height and age waiver which you will use in your application to the Philippine National Police.

Please be informed that the granting of age waiver and height waiver is determined by the NAPOLCOM En Banc upon submission of requirements by the applicant. Each waiver has different requirements that must be complied by the applicant.

Pursuant to NAPOLCOM Memorandum Circular No. 2013-004 dated May 21, 2013, “The age requirement for initial appointment to the PNP may be waived only when the number of qualified applicants falls below the approved national/regional quota. Waiver of the age requirement may be granted provided that the applicant shall not be less than twenty (20) or not more than thirty-five (35) years of age.” The following factors are being considered for the grant of waiver to applicants:
	Possession of special skills in evidence gathering and safekeeping, cybercrime investigation, detection and prevention, crime scene investigation, martial arts, marksmanship and similar skills;
	Special talents in the field of sports, music or arts and culture;
	Extensive experience or training in forensic science and other legal, medical and technical services; and
	Outstanding academic records and extracurricular activities of applicants during his/her school days, good family background in law enforcement or socio-civic activities, recognized social standing in the community, awards and commendations received, which should indicate to the Commission En Banc that the applicant can become a good member of the Philippine National Police.

If you possessed the aforementioned factors, you may submit the following documentary requirements to recruiting unit where you processed your application:
	a. Completely Filled-out CSC Personal Data Sheet;
	b. Original PSA Birth Certificate;
	c. Authenticated Copy of Eligibility
	d. Authenticated Copy of TOR/DIPLOMA; and
	e. Original/Authenticated Copy of Certificates (skills, talents, etc).

Pursuant to Section 30 of the Republic Act No. 11549 or otherwise known as “The PNP, BFP, BJMP and BuCor Height Equality Act”., the minimum height requirement to be a member of the PNP is at least 157 cm for males and 152 cm for females. Provided, that a waiver for height requirement shall be automatically granted to applicants belonging to the cultural minorities/indigenous peoples.

In case, an applicant is below the minimum height requirement, he/she must secure/apply for height waiver at the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM). The height limit for height waiver is also provided by the NAPOLCOM.
