Updated List of BOA Accredited CPAs in Commerce and Industry Sector

Requested from PRC by A. Farnacio at 11:31 AM on Nov 05, 2020.
Purpose: Undergraduate research about practicing CPAs
Date of Coverage: 06/05/2018 - 11/05/2020
Tracking no: #PRC-164273930837

Farnacio 11:31 AM, Nov 05, 2020

Good day!

I am a 3rd year student from the University of Santo Tomas and we are currently conducting an undergraduate research with CPAs as the population. It would be of great help to us if we are provided with an updated list of accredited CPAs in the commerce and industry sector. This is the only list missing from the PRC website where I found March 2020 lists of accredited CPAs in public accounting and the academe.

Thank you and God bless!

Dear Andrea Farnacio,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Nov 05, 2020 11:31:06 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Updated List of BOA Accredited CPAs in Commerce and Industry Sector.

Response to Request

This is to inform you that we did not provide the list of Accredited CPAs in the Commerce and Industry Practice in our website because the Board of Accountancy issued BOA Resolution No. 36 s 2019 dated July 18, 2019, RE: Repeal of Board of Accountancy Resolution Nos. 03-2016: 68-2016: 115-2016: 163-2017 and 185-2017 on the Compilation Services. Meaning, the Board decided to stop the filing of application for accreditation of CPAs in Commerce and Industry Practice because it is not required to attach such Certificate of Accreditation on the Audited Financial Statement of the Company. It is deemed unnecessary requirement by some regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.

Please see copy of Resolution 36 sent to your email.

For your information and guidance please.

Thank you.
