Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Sep 15, 2022 02:42:59 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for Status update on National ID Card.

Your FOI request is approved. 

Despite the pandemic, we are doing our best to continue card production and delivery to accommodate the millions of Filipinos who have successfully registered for Step 1 and Step 2. 

We humbly ask for your patience and support as we currently prioritize the distribution of PhilIDs to low-income families we registered in 2020 and earlier this year. 

Meanwhile, please stay tuned for the launch of the PhilSys mobile app, an alternate and digital version of the PhilID which can be used ahead of the physical card.
