Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Dec 29, 2023 09:32:52 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for National ID.

Your FOI request is approved. 

The ePhilID is a valid and sufficient proof of identity and age, subject to authentication. It shall be honored and accepted in government and private transactions.

Per PSA public advisory dated 05 October 2022, the ePhillID and other versions of the digital ID shall be honored and accepted as an official government-issued identification document for transactions in all national government agencies, local government units (LGUs), government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), government financial institutions (GFIs), financial institutions, and the private sector.

Further, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) released a memorandum to its supervised financial institutions for the use and acceptance of the ePhilID and the other digital formats of the PhilID as valid proof of identity and age, subject to authentication.
