Refer to the 2021 Final Deaths just released by PSA, and dated 22 February 2023. 

Please confirm that these deaths are for registrations received effective as of 31 March 2022  (same total deaths as released last August which was effective as of 31 March 22).

Q1. When will late registrations for 2021 be presented / included in vital statistics? 

Q2. Please provide MONTHLY breakdown of all registered deaths by 
1) Cause of Death
2) Age

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Feb 25, 2023 02:54:02 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for 2021 Deaths - Requesting a monthly breakdown both by age and COD.

Your FOI request is approved. 

In reference to your data request, you may check our data on registered deaths by cause, by age and by month for year 2021.

Kindly take note that the numbers released are death occurrences from January to December 2021 and were registered up to a certain cut-off date, in this case, until March 2022.  This means that those whose deaths were registered beyond March 2022 were no longer included in the report.  Further, may we note that the data includes late registrations, i.e., those that were registered more than 30 days after occurrence.
