Hi, I would like to know how much government spends on Filipino athletes who compete for the country during the Olympics. I would like to request the PSC budget for the following: 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2012 London Olympics, 2016 Rio Olympics, and 2021 Tokyo Olympics

Thank you for your request dated Jul 28, 2021 04:08:07 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
You asked for Government budget and expenditure for Filipino athletes competing in the Olympics.
Hereunder are the budget allocated for the following Olympic Games.
2008 - Php 50,000,000.00
2012 - Php 33,057,000.00
2016 - Php 33,500,000.00
2021 - Php 250,000,000.00
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Mr. Manuel Bitog, DED-BCSSS, records@psc.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
