You asked for History of Carriedo Mansion (Antique House).

Response to Request

I regret to inform you that we have very little information about the Antique House.


The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Sta.Mesa, Manila is home to an old two-storey structure called Antique House or Carriedo Mansion. The Antique House’s architectural design reflects Spanish colonial influence. The building is a prewar vintage structure and considered to be one of the residences of Carriedo family. It served as a garrison of the Japanese forces during the Second World War. It was renovated and restored on January 5, 1979. The building is made of concrete slab, concrete columns supporting the second floor wooden frames and roofing tiles supported by wooden trusses.
