This refers to your inquiry if you are qualified for re-admission.

As per your scholastic record, you were enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Economics in School Year 2011-2012.  Your last enrollment was in the First Semester of SY 2014-2015.  Although you have already enrolled for seven (7) semesters, your status is Second Year student because of failing grades.  

We regret to inform you that the Office of the University Registrar did not recommended your re-admission for the following reasons:

1.	Tenure – as per Student Handbook Section 14.1.1, a student must finish the requirements of a college course within a period of equivalent to 1 ½ times the normal length of the prescribed residence for a course; otherwise, he/she shall not be readmitted into the university.  

Record shows that you did not file for a Leave of Absence, hence, despite non enrollment, your tenure continuous. As a result, this School Year 2019-2020 is deemed as your 8th year, therefore,  you are already considered to have overstayed in the University.

2. The subjects in your curriculum are no longer offered. Following the implementation of the K to 12, the University adopted new curriculum and subjects in the old curriculum are no longer offered. 

Despite the foregoing, if you are determined to finish a degree in the University, you can still fulfill your dream of a college degree by enrolling in the Open University System (OUS) where the mode of delivery is blended, offline and online. We believe that it is more applicable to working students like you.  Some of the subjects you took may also be accredited in the OUS where you can also avail of free education. Please visit the PUP Admission Office for more information.
