Good day!

We are currently conducting our external scanning as part of the annual preparatory activities for the Management Committee Planning. Relative to this, we would like to seek for your assistance on the Top 10 Microfinance Institutions in the Philippines as of August 2021. We also would like to know the number of borrowers and loan portfolio of said institutions.

You asked for Top 10 Microfinance Institutions in the Philippines as of August 2021.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have your requested information because we do not rank the SEC-registered or accredited microfinance institutions.  Also, there are other institutions registered with the Cooperative Development Authority (microfinance cooperatives) or the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (microfinance-oriented banks).  Thus, you may want to conduct an independent research on  registered institutions from the various agencies then rank them accordingly.

For information on SEC registered microfinance entities, you may email ersd@sec.gov.ph.  SEC-accredited microfinance NGOs, kindly visit https://www.sec.gov.ph/mnrc-list/list-of-microfinance-ngos-with-mnrc-accreditation-as-of-august-2021/ or email mnrc_secretariat@sec.gov.ph.  Kindly note that this will undergo regular processing, subject to applicable fees.

You may also want to inquire with the Microfinance Council of the Philippines (https://microfinancecouncil.org/) regarding microfinance industry information. 

Your right to request a review
