Good day! I am currently conducting a research on Philippine Depositary Receipt in relation to foreign equity restriction in nationalized industries.

I would like to request for a list of companies that issue Philippine Depositary Receipt and any other public information related to PDRs to determine which industry the issuance of PDRs is prevalent.

You asked for Companies that issue Philippine Depositary Receipts.

Response to Request

After checking the records of the Markets and Securities Regulation Department (MSRD), please be informed that as of the sending of this email, two (2) publicly listed companies (PLC) that issue Philippine Depositary Receipts (PDRs) are registered with the Commission, to wit:


1.	GMA Network, Inc. #5213
Holders of PDRs:
GMA Holdings, Inc. # CS200602356

2.	2. ABS-CBN Corporation #1803
Holders of PDRs:
ABS-CBN Holdings Corporation #A199904544 

Kindly understand that the MSRD can only confirm the foregoing PLCs as these are the only entities regulated by our Department. With this, it is worth noting that companies that issue PDRs but are not PLCs fall under the jurisdiction of another department. To more exhaustively address your concern, you may opt to inquire with the Company Registration and Monitoring Department (CRMD) as the department in-charge of the registration of all corporations. 

With regard to your request to secure the Final Prospectus of the abovementioned corporations, kindly direct your request to the Electronic Records Management Division of the Information and Communications Technology Department (ICTD) thru Asst. Director Isma C. Gonzales (icgonzales@sec.gov.ph).
