The information on registered firms may be checked online through the SEC Check App (https://bit.ly/secmobileapp), the official mobile app of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Philippines.  Apart from providing information on whether a company is registered with the SEC, it gives on-the-go guides in doing business and investing in the Philippines, and contains investor alerts and educational materials aimed at protecting the investing public from investment scams.

For further verification of the company's registration, you may coordinate directly with the SEC Company Registration and Monitoring Department.  You may send an email to crmd_publicassistance@sec.gov.ph or contact them through telephone numbers (632) 8818-7187; 8818-0763; 8818-5554 and 8818-8803.

Please bear in mind, however, that a SEC company registration does not automatically grant authority to offer investments in securities, bonds, commercial papers or similar financial instruments to more than 19 investors. Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to comsec@sec.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
