Sio 10:38 PM, Sep 25, 2023

Hello! I would like to know the following for my academic research:

1.) Is a regular inspection conducted to determine the employer's compliance with the SSS provisions, especially on registration, contribution, and remittance of his employees' contributions?
2.) In relation to the No. 1 request, what drives/triggers initiation and carrying out an inspection to determine the employer's compliance?
3.) What is the legal basis for issuing an order to inspect determining employer's compliance?

Thank you.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. Routine inspection of employers' SSS remittance of contribution is the agency's way of ensuring that employers are complying with the provisions of RA 11199 that all of workers are reported and registered to the SSS, and most importantly is that their contributions are being remitted religiously.
