I would like to ask for a copy of the SSS circulars related to Form R-8 to clarify the following:

(1) How is TEMPORARY SUSPENSION defined? Is it suspension by virtue of the business not being “physically/literally” open/operational OR is it just suspension of the owner’s employer’s status (no ER-EE relationship temporarily)? Note that Form R-8 states CHANGE OF BUSINESS STATUS (not EMPLOYER).

(2) For a self-employed individual who can operate with or without an employee, does this mean submission of a notarized R8 is required for each hiring or separation (no replacement = no employee)?
