CLAIMING OF DEATH BENEFITS

Requested from SSS by C. Juan at 09:44 AM on Aug 18, 2021.
Purpose: Information
Date of Coverage: 12/01/1961 - 08/18/2021

Juan 09:44 AM, Aug 18, 2021

My aunt died last June this year and according to my uncle she didn't change her status from single to married and she also didn't have SS ID. My uncle doesn't know also her SS number so may I humbly request your good office to help me with the below concerns;

1. Can my uncle claim the death and funeral benefit of my aunt even if my aunt didn't change her marital status?
2. If so, what are the necessary documentation to prove that my uncle is the legal and primary beneficiary for the claims?
3. If not, can their legitimate children claim?
4. How can they know her SS Number?

Thank you.
