You asked for Should the sick leave credits be consumed first to be eligible for SSS EC claims?.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. When filing an SSS Sickness Benefit Claim, all sick leave credits must already be consumed. Once sickness claim is approved and proven work-related, then EC Sickness Claim application shall follow. Hope this clarifies your concern. Thank you and stay safe.
