Hi! I would like to request information about the trees around the Academic Oval, including those along the Osmeña Avenue, specifically on the following:

1. Species Identification: list of species around the area

2. Tree Count: number of individual trees of each species

3. Tree Measurements

4. Location: precise location of each tree is often documented using GPS coordinates

5. Health and Condition, Age & Growth Rate

6. Conservation status

7. Ecosystem Data & Historical Data

Response to your request

Since you did not provide proof of Filipino citizenship which is required under the UP FOI Manual, we regret that in the meantime we are constrained to DENY your request.
Article III Section 7 of the 1987 Constitution which is the basis for the requirement under the UP FOI Manual states:
“The right of the people to information on matters of public concern shall be recognized. Access to official records, and to documents, and papers pertaining to official acts, transactions, or decisions, as well as to government research data used as basis for policy development, shall be afforded the citizen, subject to such limitations as may be provided by law.”

You must also submit the following certification  as required by the UP Diliman FOI Manual via email to fro.updiliman@up.edu.ph once you have re-filed your request via the eFOI portal.
