9 December 2021 Dear Mr. Joseph Anthony Ramos: This refers to your request dated December 5, 2021 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request “I would like to help my mother-in-law's informally adopted son to continue college he graduated with honors and always been in the honor roll. However, due to lack of funds he was unable to pursue college and now working as helper on trucks. I am hoping you could offer him some scholarship.” Purpose/(s) stated for request “ To find help for a smart kid.” While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide the information you have requested because U.P. Diliman does not offer scholarships to students who are not admitted to U.P. Diliman. Please encourage your mother-in-law's informally adopted son to apply to U.P. Diliman. He may avail of scholarships once he is accepted as a student here. The Office of Scholarships and Grants administers financial assistance programs of U.P. Diliman. If he is interested, he may visit the website of the Office of Admissions of the University of the Philippines at http://www.upcollegeadmissions.up.edu.ph for further details. There is a link for online application as well as information on scholarships available to students admitted in the University. Thank you. Respecfully, Stella Francisco FOI Receiving Officer
