Dear Ma'am/Sir,

Good day. I am Marjorie Cortes, an employee of Visayas State University. I have applied for University Housing since last year and have not received any information as to the status of my application. Since university housing has been granted to several faculty and staff since my application, I would like to request the following information:
1. Ranking of all faculty and staff who applied for housing from June-Dec 2022 and Jan-June 2023.
2. Minutes pertaining to the decisions made on the granting of housing from June-Dec 2023 and Jan-June 2023.

Your Request

You asked for Ranking and minutes for the granting of University Housing.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is partially approved. Due to Data Privacy Act we cannot give you the ranking that contains the personal information of the faculty that was being ranked however we can give you the ranking including you but the personal information of others will be redacted.

As for the request of the minutes of the meeting, we are sorry to inform you that minutes of committee meetings are primarily confidential thus we cannot give you such information however we can give the letter by the chairperson addressed to you.


Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested for  as we will give it to you on your other similar request.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to op@vsu.edu.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
