Your Request

You asked for information about the history of the street names in the poblacion of Lucena, Quezon; and the provenance of the name of Hermana Fausta Street located in Barangays 1 &2 in Lucena City.

Response to Request

We regret to inform you that we do not have records pertaining to the origin of the street names in the poblacion of Lucena. Nevertheless, we suggest referring this matter to the City Government of Lucena which may help by furnishing you a copy of Resolutions and Ordinances enacted by the Sangguniang Panlungsod related to your inquiry.

On your second query, Hermana Fausta Street was named after Hermana Fausta Labrador y Zarzadias, founder of Escuela del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus (now Sacred Heart College) in Lucena, which used to be a charity school for the poor children.
