Your Request

You asked for STANDARD PAY FOR CONSTRUCTION COMPANY EMPLOYEES.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. 

Please be informed that Article 99 of the Labor Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 6727 or the Wage Rationalization Act, provides that the minimum wage rates for agricultural and non-agricultural employees and workers in each and every region of the country shall be those prescribed by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards. Construction falls under the category of non-agriculture. 

In setting the wages of the employees, the employer may exercise its management prerogative provided that the amount of the same will not go below the prescribed minimum wage rates in the region where the employees are working.

Your right to request a review
