Dear Mr. Cydrick Magbuhos,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Nov 14, 2023 07:11:17 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for the population data of OFWs from Quezon province.

Mr. Magbuhos be correctly informed that the data/records handled by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) belongs to our members OFWs only. And, not all OFWs are members of OWWA. However, we extend welfare services to all Filipino and their families in time of calamities and stressful condition (e.g. the repatriation of Filipinos affected by the war at Gaza and Lebanon).

The data you need can be derived from the Philippine Statistics Authority, the repository of government agencies for statistical data. You can also get your data requirements from the Planning Office of the Provincial Government of Quezon since all municipalities submit on a quarterly basis including the number of households with OFWs for the release of budget appropriated for programs/project intended for the families of OFWs.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing the OWWA- FOI Decision Makers at email: foi_dm@owwa.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date we received your review request.

However, if you are still not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).

Thank you.

Respectfully,

Ma. Cynthia D. Erum
FOI Receiving Officer
