Dear Ms. Megan Zarene Lim,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jan 26, 2024 04:51:20 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for data on OFWs who were deployed/hired using TESDA Skills Competency .

Ms. Lim be correctly informed that the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) do not collect data on the manner of deployment. Deployment is a mandated function of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the former POEA. If you cannot access data from DMW request your concern with the TESDA. It is possible that the TESDA has information about OFWs who seek overseas employment but have to undergo skills competency from TESDA example of which is the requirement for domestic helpers to attend the TESDA National Competency Level as a requirement by the DMW to process their deployment.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing the OWWA- FOI Decision Makers at email: foi_dm@owwa.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date we received your review request.

However, if you are still not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).

Thank you.

Respectfully,

Ma. Cynthia D. Erum
