August 24, 2020 Dear Ms. Laica Moral, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Aug 20, 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request regarding the update of your husband's case of imprisonment due to drugs is incomplete. You did not state the name of your husband and the country where he is imprisoned, his date of departure from the Philippines and other demographic information. For information, it is the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs (OUMWA) of the Department of Foreign Affairs who is mandated or in-charge of police/criminal and immigration cases. OWWA assists during the Phil. Embassy during the repatriation of the workers.
