I am engaged in the practice of my accounting profession and my office is duly registered with DTI as sole proprietorship. I only engage in the practice of my profession with no other business activities not related to it. The BLGF MC 01-2020 provides that if I have paid my professional tax receipt, I am exempted from the payment of my business permit fee, but still has to secure one but the LGU is still requiring me to pay the business permit despite this provision.
Is the LGU correct?
