I'd like to ask; are floodlights and other helipad lighting aids still required for helipads that are only for daytime operations in this country?

Your Request

You asked for Lighting for Helipads that are Only for Daytime Use.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. Per the Aerodrome Registration Certification and Inspection Division (ARCID), only helipads intended for Night Operations are required to be equipped with helipad lightings in addition to the specified visual aids and markings defined in the Manual of Standards for Aerodromes – Chapter 15.
