I would like to request an information if I can File both magna carta leave and SSS Sickness at the same time for 60 days, because my company is not allowing me to do so.

Thank you for your request dated Jan 26, 2024 08:07:44 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

May we provide you with a copy of DOLE Department Order 112-A, particularly Section 7 which distinguishes Special Leave Benefits of SSS sickness benefits.
The former is granted by the employer in accordance to RA 9710. While the former is in reference to SSS Law as amended by RA 8282.

Hence, both laws are independent of each other, thus both may be availed independently from each other.
