Greetings from the Department of Transportation (DOTr)!
This is in reference to the message you sent to the Electronic Freedom of Information (e-FOI) portal with tracking number “#DOTr-282491264540”, received by the Department, relative to your request for information on the current status of the proposed EDSA Carousel Stops.
The Office of the Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure exerts its best efforts to continuously develop the EDSA Busway Project by improving the existing infrastructures and constructing additional stations to deliver the best service to our commuting public.
The Office is pleased to inform you that two stations, namely the Kamuning and Philam QC (formerly named as Ormoc) stations, were already constructed under the General Appropriations Act FY 2022 and shall commence operation in the 4th quarter of this year. In addition to this, the construction of Magallanes station is set to begin also in the 4th quarter of this year and is anticipated to be operational in the 1st quarter of next year.
However, the remaining stations mentioned (Cubao, Connecticut, Greenfields, and Estrella) are still under consideration as the location, funding, and their feasibility studies are yet to be identified and conducted.
