Dear Ms. Boroc,
I refer to my letter of Nov 22, 2023 11:46:02 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Naga City Camarines Sur Number of Evacuees affected by typhoon from 2010-2022.
While we aim to provide information whenever possible, upon review of the submitted requirements, failed to provide your contact information.Thus, we find your request incomplete and did not meet the requisites of a valid FOI request.
Section 9 of Executive Order No. 2 states that:
SECTION 9. Procedure. The following procedure shall govern the filing and processing of requests for access to information:
(a) Any person who requests access to information shall submit a written request to the government office concerned. The request shall state the name and contact information of the requesting party, provide valid proof of his identification or authorization, and reasonably describe the information requested, and the reason for, or purpose of, the request for information: Provided, that no request shall be denied or refused acceptance unless the reason for the request is contrary to law, existing rules and regulations or it is one of the exceptions contained in the inventory or updated inventory of exception as hereinabove provided. RE: Request Follow-up
DSWD FOI reached out to me through a text message on December 29, 2023 informing me that my requested document was ready but my email address was invalid. They requested for a valid one in order to successfully complete the transaction--which I immediately and gladly did. I am writing to you to humbly follow up my request because I since then have not heard from your office.
