Hello,
I would like to know if I could apply as a Solo Parent for my 18 year old niece. Currently, her mother is a Solo Parent, she was abandoned by her husband since 2007, she already had her Solo Parent ID and benefits. Now, went to New Zealand as an OFW and now working there full-time. Before leaving, she secured an SPA assigning me as the Legal Guardian of my 18 year old niece (in good mental condition and not a PWD). I would like to know if this scenario will allow me to get a Solo Parent benefit since I am the only Legal Guardian and the one currently looking after my niece. Thank you
