Hi! I would like to request information regarding the following:

1) Amount of food surplus produced by food manufacturers, retailers, establishments in Metro Manila

2) Amount of food waste that goes to landfill in Metro Manila

3) Sources of food waste and surplus in Metro Manila

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Sep 18, 2019 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for Amount of food waste and surplus in Metro Manila.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, this Office does not have  the information on surplus and food waste that goes to landfill in Metro Manila.  What we have is food waste per capita which you can find in our eNutrition website under our Facts and Figure publication. However, you may wish to contact the Department of Agriculture, or resubmit your request addressed to the correct agency on the eFOI portal.
