Good day!

Unlike in previous COMELEC issuances re elections, COMELEC Resolution 10905, promulgated May 3, 2023, does not mention any prohibition on procurement, particularly public bidding for EPA and infrastructure projects.

I wish to be clarified on this matter. Thank you.

You asked for Clarification re Prohibited procurement activities in relation to the 2023 Brgy. Elections.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, FOI Portal cannot serve as the channel for your inquiry. Request for clarifications on certain rules on RA 9184 may be made in writing which has to be submitted via email at gppb@gppb.gov.ph or in case of immediate inquiries, you may call the Public Assistance Team of the GPPB-TSO at (02) 7900-6740 to 41 and 43 to 44. Further, please be informed that the GPPB - TSO shall
be making the appropriate announcement related to the upcoming elections for Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan within the month.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Executive Director Rowena Candice M. Ruiz at gppb@gppb.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
