Dear M. Jao,
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated Sep 27, 2023 09:01:15 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your Request
You asked for Architectural plans and other information about Grand Boulevard Hotel.
Response to Request
From the Sequestered Assets Group:
"The Silahis International Hotel, a sequestered corporation of this Commission was the owner and operator of Grand Boulevard Hotel. On 13 June 2002, the Sandiganbayan issued a Resolution lifting the sequestration order against Silahis, to which the Republic filed a petition for Certiorari with the Supreme Court. On 13 July 2010, the Supreme Court dismissed the said petition and affirmed the Sandiganbayan resolution. Furthermore, the Grand Boulevard Hotel was auctioned on 07 November 2007 by the City of Manila for non-payment of taxes in favor of Pacific Wide Realty and Development Corporation. Based on the Office records, Hotel Grand Boulevard was closed for failure to pay the necessary Business Permit and Licenses, is still under the control of the City of Manila.
To address the request of the student from FEU, it is suggested that we refer the said student to coordinate with the Local Government of Manila."
From the Legal Department:
"As stated in the email thread, sequestration over the subject property was already lifted. Thus, we no longer administer the same. In addition, we have no record of building floor plans, section plans, interior elevations, and exterior elevations of the subject hotel.
I agree that considering it is under the control of the City of Manila, they shall coordinate with Manila LGU."
Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested for as information may be be found in Manila LGU.
