Dear Ma'am/Sir,

Good day! As part of my research in knowing the Effectiveness of an IEC Materials to Informal Settler Families. I would like to ask for the information of the following:

1. Latest total number of Informal Settler Families in the Philippines (per region)
2. Latest total number of Informal Settler Families in Metro Manila (per city)

This will be a big help for me to finish my paper. Thank you.

Respectfully yours,

Greetings!

This has reference to your letter received by our office through Electronic Freedom of Information (eFOI) requesting for the Latest total number of Informal Settler Families in the Philippines (per region) and Latest total number of Informal Settler Families in Metro Manila (per city)

In this regard, may we inform you that the only data the Commission has is the accredited Urban Poor Organizations (UPOs) as mandated by Executive Order 82, s. 1986. For FY 2021, the PCUP accredited 510 UPOs with 41,669 member families nationwide.

Further, on your request relative to the Statistics/data of identified informal settlers nationwide (per region), it is recommended that the said request be directed to the Philippine Statistics Authority and/or to the concerned LGUs as it is the agency/office that has the detailed information regarding such request.
