Your Request
You asked for Drug situation during Marcos Jr administration.
Response to Request
The following are the responses to your request:
1. Number of reported drug cases in the Philippines from CY 2022 to December 31, 2023 - From January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023, a total of 74,229 positive anti-drug operations conducted.
2. Programs implemented to prevent and to solve the drug-related cases - The Agency implemented the following dangerous drug supply reduction and suppression program:
a) Intensification of the arrest of top-level drug personalities and syndicates;
b) Intensification of the conduct of intelligence-driven and High Impact Operations (HIOs);
c) Enhancement of inter-agency collaboration to strengthen border control to prevent illegal drug smuggling; and
d)Immobilization of drug syndicates assets/properties through strengthen financial investigation.
3. Support and budget allocation by government given to PDEA - Below is the approved budget of the Agency based on the General Appropriations Act (GAA) from FY 2022-2024:
2022- PhP 2,975,295.000.00
2023 -Php 3,021,572,000.00
2024- PhP 3,818,789,000.00
4. Records of successful and unsuccessful operations conducted from July 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023 - From July 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023, a total of 72,298 anti-illegal drug operations were conducted; 55,537 of which resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and/or arrest of drug personalities.
