Dear Ana Marie Cuachon,

Thank you for your request dated 13 June 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for the following:

1.	Total Number of Active Retirees in Negros Oriental by City/Municipality Classified if Foreign or Filipino;
2.	For Foreign retirees, which country are they from?
3.	For Filipino retirees, kindly indicate if OFW or not.

Response to your request

Your FOI request is approved. The answer to your request is attached in another file except for the following:

1.	Total Number of Active Retirees in Negros Oriental by City/Municipality Classified if Foreign or Filipino;

Please be informed that we can only provide the total number of Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV) holders residing in Negros Oriental from June 13, 2022 to June 13, 2023. Please see attached statistics for your reference. 

2.	For Foreign retirees, which country are they from?

We can only provide the Top 10 Nationalities of our SRRVisa holders residing in Negros Oriental from June 13, 2022 to June 13, 2023.

3.	For Filipino retirees, kindly indicate if OFW or not.

We have no Filipino retirees in the program since the SRRV is not applicable to be availed of by local retirees, but we have a visa option (SRRV Courtesy) for “Former Filipinos” who acquired a different citizenship abroad and wish to retire in the Philippines. However, we have not enrolled any former Filipinos in the program for the period of June 13, 2022 to June 12, 2023.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to the Department of Tourism Secretary, Ma. Esperanza Christina Garcia Frasco and send it through their email at osec@tourism.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
