Dear Ron RASL Parman,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Oct 27, 2022 07:13:14 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for ranking of problems found in textile marking processes in the philippines.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of the information you requested.

1.	Common errors encountered in marking includes the following:
    a.	Pattern defects as some parts may be mixed as the marker missed to include the correct number of patterns.
    b.	Spreading defects. Plies misaligned, resulting in garment parts getting cut with bits missing in some plies at the edge of the spread. Narrow fabric, causes garment parts at the edge of the lay getting cut with bits missing. Incorrect tension of plies, i.e. fabric spread too tight or too loose. This will result in parts not fitting in sewing, and finished garments not meeting size tolerances.
2.	Nesting system. Textile Industry utilize digital nesting which includes software that allows intelligent method to verify the layout of the fabric in the cutting table.
3.	10-15% of the total fabric.
