Dear Francisco Jr Cabasag,
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated Dec 30, 2023 01:24:04 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your Request
You asked for List of Certified Suppliers of Philippine Tropical Fabrics.
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of the information you requested:
DOST-PTRI, as the chair of the technical committee for the implementation of R.A. 9242, certifies Philippine Tropical Fabrics (PTF) according to standards set by the law. The certification is being issued to the textile producer, defined in the Implementing Rules and Regulations as local manufacturer engaged in the production of textiles, using locally-sourced NTFs, through spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, and/or finishing Institute.
The Institute does not accredit nor certify suppliers; it is the fabric that undergoes certification.
For your reference, these are the textile producers that have recently submitted fabrics to DOST-PTRI for testing and certification:
1. Weavers Textile Mills, Inc.
2. Asia Textile Mills, Inc./Ananas Anam Philippines, Inc.
