As such, RTVM is committed in addressing and fighting disinformation and fake news that are now rampant nowadays, especially on social media platforms.

Like for example, on September 19, 2021, RTVM has issued a statement regarding Manila Bulletin’s use of RTVM while live streaming the filing of candidacy of presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquaio. In the said statement, RTVM cleared that it did not document the event nor live stream the video by the Manila Bulletin in its Facebook page. Manila Bulletin was not able to change its template bearing the name of ‘RTVM’ as it re-streamed this particular event. RTVM assumes no ownership and no responsibility on this Manila Bulletin video live stream.
