Hi, I would like to request for a List of DOST Inventions mainly related to industrial gases and payment solutions (with inventor name and contact/website, and description of inventions) for the years 2015 to 2020 that you will use to recommend for investment to employer in the next five (5) years.

Dear Ms. Anson:

This pertains to your email dated 17 September 2021 containing your duly accomplished Freedom of Information (FOI) Request Form. The said FOI request was forwarded to the undersigned on 20 September 2021 for appropriate action. In the said FOI Form, you are requesting for a List of DOST Inventions mainly related to industrial gases and payment solutions (with inventor name and contact/website, and description of inventions) for the years 2015 to 2020 that you will use to recommend for investment to employer in the next five (5) years. 

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible as stated under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on FOI, we regret to inform you that upon checking, we are unable to provide you with the requested information on payment solutions as this type of technology is not patentable here in the Philippines and regarded as ”pure software subject matter”. Hence, your request is PARTIALLY GRANTED. Please find attached the list of DOST-Funded Inventions related to Industrial Gases for your reference (ANNEX “A”).
