Dear Mr. Yabut:

This refers to your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information (FOI) in the Executive Branch which we received on 16 January 2024, through the eFOI portal (www.foi.gov.ph) with Ticket Reference No. #TAPI-644532376812.

In your FOI request, you are requesting for a complete digital copy of research that won the 1998 National Inventors Week – Sibol Award for Highschool entitled “Determining the Bioherbicidal Activity and Weed Specificity of the Leaf Blight (Alternaria alternata Keissler) and Leaf Mold (Cercosporidium sp.)  Pathogens on the Rice Paddy Weed Sphenoclea zeylanica Gaertner”. 

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, we regret to inform you that your request is hereby DENIED. The request is denied for the following reason:

•	The subject document was beyond its retention period and was therefore included in the 2019 DOST-TAPI records disposal pursuant to Certificate of Disposal with Authority No. A-2019-15 dated 04 January 2019.

As an alternative, we suggest that you coordinate with your co-authors who may still have a copy of the research output.
