Are There Special Permits for LNG Trucks?

Purpose: Policy Formulation/Development of the Philippine Downstream Natural Gas Industry.

Tracking no: #LTFRB-921468988030

Salvo 10:32 AM, Jan 17, 2023

Good Day,

This is Engr. Jessol M. Salvo from the Department of Energy (DOE). We are currently crafting policies for developing the Natural Gas Industry in the Industrial, Commercial, Residential, and Transport Sectors.

One of the logistic options would be using Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Trucks to deliver natural gas to areas and customers that do not have natural gas pipelines. LNG Trucks carry Cryogenically Cooled (super cold, - 162 C) Natural Gas.

Does LTFRB require "Special Permits" for LNG Trucks to travel within our roads and highways? What are these permits or requirements?
