Dear Ms. Boyero,

This has reference to your eFOI request dated 17 July 2022 and acknowledged by the Philippine Competition Commission (“PCC”) on 18 July 2022, denominated as a Freedom of Information Request under Executive Order No. 2 s. 2016 on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch (“EO No. 02”).

Your Request

In your request, you stated that you are “looking for a source from the government who can help me on my medical condition.”

Response to Your Request

Your request is not one for information, official record/s, or public record/s, and must therefore be DENIED.

EO No. 2 seeks to operationalize the constitutional policy of full public disclosure of all transactions of the executive branch involving public interest; thus, all requests made pursuant thereto must pertain to a request for information, official record/s, and/or public record/s, defined in Section 1 of the EO. As you do not seek any such information or record/s, we are unable to process your request.

Further, the PCC is mandated to implement the National Competition Policy and
enforce the Philippine Competition Act to promote and protect competitive markets. While we are sympathetic to your plight, we note that your request does not raise any competition-related issue under the PCC’s mandate and jurisdiction. Your request for assistance is best referred to other agencies or organizations who are better equipped to address the said matter.

For further assistance you may review the FAQ section of the eFOI site: https://www.foi.gov.ph/help.

Thank you.
