I am currently working on shaping my thesis topic entitled A Proposed Mixed-Use Redevelopment of Batangas International Port and Cruise Port Development. 

As part of my chapter IV in my thesis book, the Funding and Manner of Financing, I am Inquiring if your good office can be one of the possible partner and source of fund for the development? Moreover, may I know what are the documents that will support the partnership?

Thank you for your request dated Oct 12, 2023 03:26:14 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for Possible Source of Fund for Batangas Port Redevelopment.

TIEZA's mandates revolve mainly around the construction of tourism infrastructure projects, collection of travel tax, managing TIEZA assets and supervising and regulating Tourism Enterprise Zones.

Over the years, TIEZA has actively participated in the development and improvements of various airports and seaports. TIEZA has also initiated the construction of different floating docks all over the country.

In this regard, the funding of the Batangas Port Redevelopment may be sourced from TIEZA pursuant to R.A. 9593. However, the project must be approved by the TIEZA Board of Directors and must comply with the guidelines in the selection of infrastructure projects. The said guidelines may be accessed in the TIEZA website or through this link:
