Hi! I would like to ask the following datasets/documents:

1.) COPD morbidity and mortality numbers from 2012-2023. How many among those were caused by air pollution?
2.) Other diseases caused by air pollution and how many were diagnosed since 2012-2023

This will be very helpful for our research.

Dear EFOI Requestor,

We have received your request pertaining to Mortality and morbidity rates from air pollution related diseases, under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information.

In order for us to work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query.  In particular, it would be helpful to know if you have already identified the specific diseases (aside from COPD) brought by pollution which caused mortality and morbidity of patients, so we can appropriately endorse to our Records Division for data gathering.

Moreover,  prior to endorsement of your request,  We would like to first recommend seeking endorsement from the UP Manila Research Ethics Board.  It can be accessed online through the UPMREB website (reb.upm.edu.ph).  Subsequently, you also have to register to the Research Grants Administration Office (RGAO) via online. Once appropriate clearances have been obtained, the PGH Expanded Hospital Research Office (EHRO) will issue a permit for the request to proceed.  

For clarification and other inquiries pertaining to the conduct of research in PGH, the EHRO can be reached at telephone number 8554-8400 local 2064.  Its office is located on the second floor of UP PGH.
