Please provide the procedures and fees to register a recreational boat not previously registered with marina. The boat is built in 2021 and not applicable to the amnesty program and not built by a Class A builder.

Your Request

You asked for Proceedures to register recreational boat.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested provided by the MARINA - Domestic Shipping Service and noted that  pursuant to MARINA Memorandum Circular No. DS-2019-01 entitled, "Rules on the Registration, Licensing, and Operation of Recreational Boats'', all recreational boats of domestic ownership plying the Philippine waters, regardless of size, built and utilization must be properly registered and issued a Certificate of Ownership (CO) and Recreational Boat Certificate (RBC). 

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to LEGAL SERVICE at 9th floor MARINA Building, Bonifacio Drive cor. 20th Street, Port Area, Manila/ ls@marina.gov.ph.  Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
